GAEN Android Builds

This page will provide details on how to prepare builds for the Android GAEN Mobile App to allow development and distribution with GAEN entitlements.

Prerequisites: Please follow the steps in this Google Exposure Notification Guide to reserve a package name for your application and request GAEN Entitlement permissions from Google.

After reserving a package name, contact your Google Developer Advocate to receive access to GAEN Terms of Service for your account:

Debug Mode:

Prior to releasing your mobile app on the Play Store tracks you may run it on a device in Debug Mode with an allow-listed developer account. Contact your Google developer advocate to receive allow-listing.

Email exposure-notifications-api-support@google.com to ask for your email to be added to the “GMSCore tester email list”

Signing your App:

We suggest allowing Google play to manage the signing of your app.

Distributing Builds:

After receiving the GAEN Entitlements for your Google Play Account. You may start distributing your PathCheck mobile application via the Internal Test Track.

  1. Upload your Mobile App Build to the Internal Testing track.
