Started working on adding support for missing languages in dayjs needed by Engineering
Translators onboarding
T:
In progress- (This one is more engineering than PM) adding missing language support to dayjs; getting missing translations for ht and getting es_pr translations reviewed. won't add tagalog/fil support as it already exists. Will create a PR on dayjs once I have everything needed.
Following up on Micronesia/Guam for more clarity/ visibility on the timeline
B:
Need more clarity on the Micronesian languages related roll-out. There's several certified translators who have registered and starting to work on it.
Jennifer Schnidman: @Alpita - I've confirmed that Jeff Kushmerek is the person to connect w regarding the Micronesia implementation

Spectra: @channel: As shared in the product weekly update meeting, we now have ProdPad as a way of gathering feedback from across the org:
Visit this link and share away: http://bit.ly/pathcheck-product-feedback
From any channel in which @ProdPad is a member (feel free to invite), you can share feedback by using the command "/ProdPad feedback [Your Feedback Here] to submit"
All feedback that's shared is published in a public channel: #product-prodpad-feedback (where you can emoji, plus one, squeal with delight, and "hell yes" to your heart's content)
Go ahead and give it a try - REAL feedback, please. (Or we'll be inundated with 'test' notifications ) (edited)
xian: is there a specific hashtag that turns a slack message into Prodpad feedback? or do you cc @ProdPad and add any hashtag? (I'm not sure of the workflow, thanks!
C Todd Lombardo: /Prodpad feedback then add whatever feedback here
Spectra: Thanks @xian @C Todd Lombardo. I crafted the ProdPad instructions message with aim to fill in details later (to avoid sending my whole message as feedback) then of course got squirrel distracted and forgot. To everyone, instructions for how to share feedback with ProdPad directly from slack, have been updated via the original message.
In essence: "/prodpad feedback [your message here]"

Several developments in localization and translation:
We started working on new languages for some new regions- Madagascar and Micronesia
Done:
Created localization projects for Malagasy (Madagascar), Chuukese, Palauan, Pohnpeian and Yapese (All these for Micronesia/ Guam)
Added certified translators to these projects.
Doing:
Orienting the newly added translators and helping them where needed
Some of the Micronesian languages are custom languages with i18n codes that are not commonly used, checking to see how integration works with these languages
Blocked:
Not really blocked, but I need more insight into the roadmap or timeline for any Micronesia/Micronesia-Guam related rollout so that I can plan better and follow up and work accordingly with the translators in time for any release.
This is the general overview of the various languages and their status of completion (Slovak, Tagalog, Haitian Creole are a 100% done and Spanish (PR), Russian, Polish and Italian have good coverage)

not a blocker, but I’d like to talk to “friendlies” to help inform research plan/interview guide, specifically looking to have an informal chat today with anyone who is currently living (ideally) or working/studying on a university campus to get a head start. I know we have a bunch of students in the Slack community but I don’t know best place to reach out to them. NOTE: this is separate from a larger blast Carolyn (lead researcher) plans to send out today to wider Slack community to solicit interviewees. Basically, I don’t want to confuse people with two requests and want a back channel of sorts to get 1 or 2 informal convos. any ideas?
xian: please invite me into any airtables you set up!
Brian Ng @xian I’m actually not invited to it yet cc @Spectra
Emma Heizer: @Gretchen Anderson would any of your students be open to talking with Brian today? Are they currently on or off campus?
Spectra @xian @Brad Peters is the prodops person (slated to be) assigned to that squad, following prodops sync. I'm free today, so think that should happen sooner rather than later.
xian sounds good to me! what does that entail (next steps)?

@Jennifer Schnidman I know there was originally a “news” or “resources” section in the app and it was pulled out; I don’t see anything of the nature on the fast follow list; I’m working thru what that could look like for a Uni and am wondering if y’all have put any thought into that yet?
@Stephen two things we’ve prioritized as “must have” in the Uni MVP (linked above) are client config-oriented specifically Equip PathCheck to setup a university as a health authority and Limit a private institution's governance based on their geographic domain. the latter which I believe you’ve seen the PRD for. MVP reqs are still a moving target, but I feel fairly confident we will want to work thru those e.g. Vassar and TCU have expressed a desire to set themselves up as a health department so as to not rely on their overwhelmed local HD and have more control and responsiveness wrt testing, contract tracing, isolation, etc. maybe we should sync on this one sometime today
