July 16

We are preparing an update to the GPS mobile app. This release technically still falls within the realm of the original "MVP1" feature set, as it includes:

  • major improvements to location-tracking accuracy on iOS

  • a much improved exposure-notification flow

  • Spanish as a supported language (joining English and Haitian Kreyol), in preparation for Puerto Rico's public launch next week!

  • Many, many bug fixes

anything else? shoutouts to folks on the team who have gone above and beyond? call to action (download and give feedback?)?

Note about our apps

A general reminder to all PathCheck folks about the SafePlaces (GPS) app vs. the GAEN (Bluetooth) app:

  • For jurisdictions adopting the GPS contact tracing model, there is one single SafePlaces mobile app, and we incrementally add new jurisdictions to it in partnership with health authorities.

  • For jurisdictions adopting the Google-Apple Exposure Notification API, we release a unique version of our app in partnership with each jurisdiction.

  • No labels
